Thomas Lodge (1558 – 1625) was an English dramatist and writer of the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods.

He was born about 1558 at West Ham, the second son of Sir Thomas Lodge, who was Lord Mayor of the City of London in 1562–1563. He was educated at Merchant Taylors' School and Trinity College, Oxford; taking his BA in 1577 and MA in 1581.
